My very, very dear friend and all-around bestie, Phoenix Keating, has been designing clothes since forever. The characters that he creates through his clothes are strong, beautiful, empowered woman. I’ve been really lucky to have been helping out and working with him since the beginning. I’ve learnt a lot and have seen first hand how hard the industry is.
From his smaller collaboration shows to having Lady Gaga wear his piece whilst in Australia, Phoenix has worked hard for every inch of recognition that he receives from his peers. His work has grown from a grassroots beginning, no employees, just friends and family helping out; anyway they could, to this.
At 21 he’s set to debut in his first Sydney Fashion Week show. Everything that he has been working toward.
Unfortunately shows are expensive. There’s fabric, models, hair, make-up, lighting, the list goes on. Please help me support a local artist on the brink of big things.
